The Riven Tides update changes the rhythm of ARC Raiders straight away, and the Avian Alarm project is a good example of that. You're not just feeding parts into a station at Speranza and calling it done. The game pushes you onto the Seabed early, where a decent kit or an ARC Raiders Moded Weapon can make the difference between a clean errand and a messy walk back to the lobby. The opening task sounds simple enough: place a bird trap beside the buoys. In practice, that clue is a bit thin when ARC patrols are roaming and every bit of movement can pull trouble your way.
Where to place the bird trap
Don't waste time sweeping the whole coastline. Head for the northwest side of the Seabed and use the Port Authority Building as your main reference point. It's one of the easier landmarks to spot, even when you're trying not to draw attention. From there, cut toward the dried seabed near the sea wall and move northeast in the direction of the Wavebreaker area. The thing you want is a huge red buoy half-buried in the sand. It's hard to miss once you're close, but getting there is the awkward bit. You don't need to bring a crafted trap with you. Walk up to the correct marker near the buoy, use the interact prompt, and the trap goes down.
Getting out is part of the job
Here's the part some players learn the hard way: placing the trap isn't enough if you die before extraction. The objective only matters once you make it out alive, so don't hang around looting every container in sight. If the area feels hot, leave. If another squad is nearby, leave faster. It's tempting to grab one more crate or check one more room, but that's how a five-minute task turns into a lost run. Once you extract, you'll move on and pick up the Dockmaster's Detector, which opens the next stretch of the project.
Ship models and ARC parts to watch for
After the trap step, Avian Alarm turns into a proper scavenger hunt. You'll need Tick Pods, then several types of Ship Models across later stages. For the Preliminary Signal Birds section, keep Twilight Compass models in mind, since those green-tier pieces are easy to overlook when you're clearing bags quickly. Later, the project asks for Velocity models, then Sirena Dorata models, and eventually the legendary Leviathan's Crown. That last one is the sort of item you don't gamble with. If it drops, stop acting brave and head to extraction. The project also pushes you into fights with ARC units for Comet Igniters, Vaporizer Regulators, and Turbine Compressors. Turbines in particular can punish solo players fast, so bring friends if you can.
Smart progress beats greedy runs
The rewards make the grind feel worth doing, especially if you like collecting cosmetics. The Bird House backpack attachment and Gel Patches face style stand out, and the Raider Tokens are useful enough to keep the project pinned while you run other routes. Pinning it saves a lot of second-guessing, since you'll see what counts the moment you pick it up. Some players also use trading and item services such as U4GM when they want to save time in games, but in the Seabed itself, the real trick is discipline. Take the rare piece, cut the route short, and don't let greed erase a good run.
